Charlie Hutchison is the founder and director of Active Science Learning, a not for profit organization that promotes hands on, project-based science and engineering for children in afterschool programs all across the US. Previously he directed the National Partnerships for AfterSchool Science [NPASS] a professional development network funded by the National Science Foundation that has trained large numbers afterschool specialist to lead science workshops for front line afterschool staff in cities and towns in 20 states.
Charlie has been working in the field of afterschool science for over 20 years — as an afterschool science teacher, a curriculum developer, professional development leader and as a national network builder across multiple US states.
